Yup, again! And it was very good – and different!

CK at the beach!

I’ve decided even before I went on the trip – I won’t write another entry on every single thing that happened in Redang – I had already done it for my Redang Trip last year.

And yes, the main activities were practically the same as last year – bus journey, boat ride, three snorkeling sessions, beach disco, blue sand… I think most of the resorts in Redang have exactly the same 3D2N package!

So, in this entry… I’ll write about some other things instead!

Something different!

Let’s see what was different in this Redang Trip compared to the previous one.

Firstly – new key players!

Trip Director – Kean Kong.

Director Kean Kong!

I think he did a really good job in this trip!

A dedicated and firm person – Kean Kong was voted to replace Jon as the President of Tourism Club next year.

Next, Assistant Director – Jansen!

Jansen with long hair!

Jansen with long hair! Can you believe it?Laughing

Always friendly and a fun person to be with – Jansen was voted to replace me as the Vice President of Tourism Club next year.

Moving on, Tour Leader – Winston!

Winston the Tour Leader!

An excellent tour leader – Winston is one of the best we’ve got!

I dunno, Jon might be better! You decide!

This is Jon as one of the tour leaders in the Redang Trip last year.

Jon sleeping haha!

Who do you like more? LaughingLaughingLaughing Oh Jon is going to hate my blog…Frown

**********

Similar to the previous Redang Trip, we departed from MMU at 10pm, so we had a night journey. Again similar to the previous trip, I couldn’t sleep in the bus for the whole night.

Different from the previous trip, not only me, but many of us couldn’t sleep – because the TV on the bus was switched on, showing, of all movies – Rambo 4! It was an MMU bus, full of students and university officers! And at 3am in the morning!Foot in mouth

Rambo in the bus

If you haven’t watched the movie, then you might not understand; but if you have, you’ll surely know how violent and gory it is – yes, we watched the uncensored version!

**********

Similar to the previous trip – We rode on a boat from Kuala Terengganu to Redang Island.

The difference between the two boats was remarkable – the previous boat (last year) had been huge, comfortable, air-conditioned, had mounted TV screens on walls, spacious and even had an open-air upper deck for its passengers to get some sunlight and ocean breeze!

So comfortable that we had easily fallen asleep on the journey.

We could comfortably sleep in the boat last year!

This time – the boat was small, had some strange smell, not really comfortable and poorly ventilated with sealed windows and without air-conditioning or fan.

The only breeze was coming in from a small opening in front of the passenger cabin – along with sea water splashing into the cabin, onto the faces of those unfortunate ones sitting in the front rows.

Kean Kong and a few of us sat at the opening to block the sea water from being splashed in! We were all wet well before we reached the island!

Blocking the sea water!

This ride was so bumpy that many people got nauseous, a couple of them even vomited in the boat!

**********

The things that happened next were the typical, but exciting, Redang activities…

In my opinion, this trip was as good as it could be, despite all the stuff that I complained about just now. Not being a direct organizing committee member of the trip this time, I think I can objectively give a few humble comments:

The Director and his committee members have worked really hard on this, I could really see. Honestly, there are a number of areas in this trip that, I think, turned out much better compared to the previous Redang Trip.

Redang Trip Comms- except me!

Of course, I’m not saying that the previous one was a failure – I think each had their own good points.

This trip was really a success, and I salute the people who worked hard for it, they deserved the success. Laughing

**********

About the activities… Snorkeling and stuff… Not gonna write about them again! Look at my previous Redang Trip’s entry! They’re almost the same.

In fact, I didn’t actually participate in all of them! This time, to me, it was less about the activities, but more about my own relaxation and getting to know people.

...

Hehe… So I’m going to end this entry abruptly… here! Why not take a look at my Photo Album? Pictures tell much more stories than words!

IntroducingLittle Ballguess what it is!

What is this furball?

‘Little Ball’ is actually the name of a rabbit – one of the six adorable babies that were born in our home a few months ago. The name is a nickname given by a friend, who simply loves it to death!

Little Ball has the greatest amount of disproportionate fur on its… everywhere!

It has so much hair on its head that, I think, it can see nothing in front of it at all.

Hair Down!

The hair on its head is so long that we can give it different magnificent hairstyles!

Let me show you some of them Smile – The one above is the hair-down-front style – the one used by many cool Japanese male characters.

Here’s the middle-line-parting style – Super Ah Beng look!Laughing

middle line part!

Haha!

With the middle-line, there’s always the side-line-parting style – a very common but flexible guys’ style!

Side-Line-Part style!

Next, for some slightly more radical styles:

Spiky style… Teenagers’ favorite! This one doesn’t even need gel or wax or anything – purely natural.

Spiky style!

The best thing is – Little Ball doesn’t struggle, and it doesn’t try to run away. It just sits there quietly and allows us to style its hair!

Maybe it was enjoying the attention, or maybe our Little Ball knew that its personal ‘hairstyle collection’ was going to be published online!

Look! David Beckham (long time ago) style – “Cockerel hair”!

David Beckham Style!

And below… What we used to call, during secondary school, ‘Aeroplane-head‘!

It was quite popular among guys back in those days… Brings back memories of our secondary school days eh? Smile

Aeroplane Head!

Aww… I know it looks sad… but it is not… really! Smile It looks sad only because a chunk of its hair is covering part of its eye – giving it the ’sad eyes’!

I can assure you that it was enjoying the new styles – look at how totally cool Little Ball looks in this style!

It really knows how to pose like a model!

Cool 'Little Ball'!

Let’s enroll it in the next season of the TV show America’s Next Top Model! Yup – ‘Little Ball’ is a girl! I bet Tyra Banks’ll love it! Laughing

I think there’s not rule in the ANTM eligibility requirements stating that the model must be human! LOL!

Here’s my own favorite rabbit – Maya! The cutest of ‘em all!

My favorite Maya!

I’ve got younger pictures of her in my older entries when she was a week, and a month old! If you’d look for them you’ll see that Maya is now so totally grown up!

Almost 3 months old already!

Although I used ‘she’ for Maya, we still haven’t found out if Maya is really female, since we still couldn’t find the… you knowLaughing

Jon said that he will have to give Maya away for adoption if it is found that it is a male. Jon didn’t want to risk having it mate with its own mother Yell and is to stingy to send it for neutering.

It’ll be a sad day when Maya has to go…FrownFrown

Redang Island Trip, again!

I’m going to Redang Island, again, tomorrow! Yup, this is the second time I’m going with Tourism Club – but, this time, with a very different group of friends.

Will update when I come back!

See ya soon!
